Faux Shutters

Composite shutters are made of synthetic materials or a combination of wood and polymer. Synthetic materials closely match a finish that provides a look of finely painted real-wood. Materials are synthetic the construction is real using the same construction that is used in hardwood shutters but they do not absorb water and do not warp or chip. Their versatility makes them appropriate for both traditional and contemporary decors.

Vinyl shutters are the least expensive shutters on the market today. Interior vinyl components are hollow, which includes aluminum reinforcements. Vinyl shutters are extremely durable and virtually water proof. Vinyl offers few color options (usually white and off-white), and vinyl shutters obviously can not be stained. Vinyl shutters are largely sold as a low cost alternative to wood interior shutters.
